The International Jewish Solidarity Network is preparing for a public launch…

Join us for a Month of Action

Confront Zionism – Divest from Israel

1 – 31 October 2008

We are calling for a week of coordinated actions across the world that confront Zionism and support the boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) call from Palestine. We are therefore mobilizing practicing and secular Jews across the globe to honor the second intifada and the high holidays by taking action to divest economically, politically, emotionally and spiritually from Zionism and from Israel.

UPDATE: Due to a growing interest in participation in launch in regions across the globe, we are extending the Week of Action to a Month of Action (October 1 – October 31).  Click here to find out more, to add your ideas for what these actions might look like and to bring additional ideas.

Help the network choose a symbolic name and logo

The Network is beginning a search for a symbolic name and logo to adopt by the time the network publicly launches. We hope you will join us in a collective brainstorm and discussion towards finding a symbolic name that can come to represent the work and aspirations of the network.

Share your ideas about how to structure the network

Building an anti-Zionist network across different historic and cultural relationships to Zionism, and across continents and languages is complicated. The structure of the network is evolving slowly as activists from locations across the world find each other and work together. We are exploring how to build a network that is as simple as possible and decentralized. We also want the network to supports current work in various locations and the ability for people in various locations to participate in the network. The structure should facilitate relationship building, consultation, coordination and communication across and between local, regional and international levels of network organizing.
